Basel Abdulmoneim
Basel Abdelmoneim joined BGS Smartcard Systems AG in 2000 as Regional Manager for Central Europe and the Middle East; in 2001 he became Vice President for Business Development in Europe and the Middle East .  Based in Vienna , Austria , BGS designs and delivers online and offline flexible smartcard based local payment solutions designed specifically for financial institutions and governments mainly in emerging markets. Basel manages all business development related activities for BGS in the countries of his coverage.  In June 2003 he was awarded the BGS Corporate Award for dedication. As of September 2005, Basel is also responsible for South East Asia .  Prior to joining BGS, Basel worked as Business Analyst for the BMW Financial Services Group in the United Kingdom . Basel earned his B.Sc. in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo , Egypt ; he was awarded his International Executive MBA at Instituto de Empressa in Madrid , Spain in December, 2006.
