Mr. Gerhard Almer , 44 years old, is as Director Corporate Product Marketing responsible for corporate marketing and product management of the Digital Identification Solutions Group of Companies (DIS). Prior to this position he worked for DIS already as Project Manager for Large Government Business.

With over 22 years of overall IT professional and managing experience he executed multi-function roles as Project Manager, Business/Systems Analyst, Software Engineer and IT Consultant for Projects in Europe , Africa , Asia and the US , including IT Product and System Integration Sales.

DIS is a global leader in the field of providing high security identification solutions to governments, organizations and companies. The product range (hardware and software) enables the user to capture, store and manage images and vital information of persons, and to print cards or passports for the positive identification of an individual. The documents can be protected by means of holograms, chip encoding, data and image encryption, RFID or the integration of biometric data. Applications include: National ID, drivers license, ICAO compatible travel documents, e-passport, employee cards, etc.

Mr. Almer holds a Degree in Engineering with Diploma in Electronics, Telecommunication Engineering and IT.
