David Curtis
Currently: Head of Strategic Marketing with Giesecke & Devrient Australasia (G&D); Fellow, Financial Services Institute of Australasia; Immediate past Chairman of Asia Pacific SmartCard Forum; Member, Australian Institute of Professional Intelligence Officers; Member, Telecommunications Society of Australia; Member, ATM Industry Association.

Key areas of activity are partnerships, strategic alliances, corporate marketing, public relations, and business development.

David is an Agricultural Science graduate from Melbourne University, and moved into corporate marketing roles over 25 years ago.He now has 20 years experience in the card technology market, gained through contracts or employers such as Electronic Network Services, the ANZ Bank, The Advantage Group (NZ), Mondex International (UK) and a subsidiary of Verifone involved in EFTPOS installations and support.

Involved with the Asia Pacific Smart Card Forum since shortly after its inception in 1995, David is an active member of this Australian based Forum, which operates under the Australian Electronic & Engineering Manufacturers Association through the recently formed body titled “SmartCard & Information Security Australia”. He has been employed by G&D for the past 7 years, and is based at their regional head office at Knoxfield, near Melbourne, Australia.

David has presented a number of times, both in Australia and overseas, during the past two years on issues relating to ID Management, smart card technology, digital content and industry convergence.
