Markus Hartmann
Markus Hartmann is the founder and CEO of HJP Consulting GmbH, an internationally active firm of consultants specialising in the planning, procurement and approval of smart card solutions with a focus on the health and ID sectors.

Markus has extensive smart card and e-Passport related experience and has helped two major passport manufacturers to successfully launch their e-Passport scheme, which will sum up to over 11 million e-Passports per year. HJP Consulting had been appointed to act as a co-editor for the ICAO/ISO RF protocol and application test standard for e-Passports. He and his team are now working on the test standards for Extended-Access-Control technologies on behalf of participating government organisations. Currently Markus is heading e-Passport consultancy projects for governments in the Middle East and Africa.

Prior to forming HJP Consulting Hartmann was a member of the executive management board of Orga Kartensysteme GmbH in Germany. He is a guest lecturer at the renown international business school of Reutlingen in Germany. Markus has got a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and International Marketing.
